I understand that life’s challenges can become too much at times. You might be struggling with a specific issue, or have a more complex, deeply rooted problem that has affected you for some time. No matter what you may be going through, from depression to anxiety to low self-esteem, navigating it alone is always hard. My counselling in Leckwith, Cardiff, or online gives you a dedicated space where you can speak freely about your problems and receive the exact kind of support you need in a strictly private, compassionate environment.
If you are thinking about starting counselling but don’t know where to start, feel free to give me a call and ask any questions you might have.
We all experience stress from time to time, and often this stress becomes held in our body, leading to a feeling of anxiety. You might feel constantly overwhelmed, frequently worry and overthink, or catastrophise over certain issues. Perhaps you always predict the worst-case scenario – a typical symptom of anxiety. Others experience social anxiety, have panic attacks, or engage in obsessive-compulsive behaviours. My role is to help you walk through these feelings, in a way that is comfortable to you, and learn where they come from, giving you the tools to keep your anxiety under control.
With depression, it can feel like things will never get better. You may believe your situation is hopeless, but you are not alone in this feeling, and I am here to help you work through it. It takes time to reach a better place; my role is to support you along this journey, creating the space to observe your thoughts in a more compassionate, informed way. Eventually, over time, we will tap into your own inner potential for developing healthier thought patterns.
Low self-esteem is often the main reason behind mental health issues. It means you don’t recognise your own intrinsic worth as an individual; your value is dependent on relationships and other external factors. As a result, you will never feel like enough and have a low opinion of yourself. Living in this way prevents you from making the most of your potential and reinforces negative feelings, and I am here to help you break this loop by utilising different techniques that enable you to feel empowered once again.
I am experienced in working with people going through domestic abuse issues of all kinds. My Leckwith practice is a safe compassionate space where you can be heard, understood, and supported. You might be currently living with your abuser and require crisis support, or maybe you have recently left a traumatic relationship and need someone to help you process complex feelings. It could be that challenging feelings are coming up about domestic abuse that happened many years ago. Whatever your situation may be, I am here to lend you a professional, non-judgemental, strictly private helping hand.
